I believe that the most beneficial part of the first chapter is reviewing the material we have learned in previous years. To further our education in the our per-calculus course, we will first have to understand basic knowledge from our other math courses. This basic knowledge will greatly benefit us as more challenging chapters begin.
I believe that the most beneficial part of chapter one is learning how to do word problems more effectively. Word problems give us real life examples and situations we may face later in life.
For me, the most beneficial part of the first chapter would be strengthening what we have previously learned, because without the fundamentals we couldn't advance to tougher chapters. The story problems that were assigned helped will help me the most in the future because they are real-world situations that could come up later in my life, and with the knowledge from the first chapter, I could hopefully solve them.
I believe that learning how to do short answer problems and story problems better, helped us the most. We were very bad at it and probably still are but we are better than what we were.
I believe the most beneficial knowledge from the first chapter would be how to make and solve equations that relate to every day problems, such as finding the area of a piece of land. The word problems that we solved related to real-world situations that would require math. No matter what, we use math every day. It is important to understand many different concepts on how to solve problems, and the first chapter helped teach those fundamentals.
I believe that everything in the first chapter will greatly benefit the class as a whole. The first chapter is typically a base, constructed from previous knowledge, that sets up the class for whatever challenges the rest of the book may present. I believe that all elements of the first chapter are necessary for the progression of our knowledge in following chapters. If my choosing a specific topic of importance is necessary, I would say that refreshing our memory of graphs and functions is vital due to its applicability later in life.
I believe that the entire first chapter significantly benefited me personally. The introductory chapter allowed us to review previous knowledge gained in past years and enhance those skills. Without this basic knowledge of mathematics, future problems in Pre-Calculus would not be as easily understood. The most important individual thing from this chapter was the word problems, in my opinion. Because of the real-world situations, these problems could be beneficial in upcoming challenges in our lives and we are better prepared now.
I believe that the word problem section of the first chapter benefited me. It helped me look at word problems differently to be able to actually solve them. It also helps show real-world situations where we'll use such concepts.
I believe that the first chapter benefited me by reviewing what I have learned from my previous math classes, because I really didn't remember much at all. The word problems also will really benefit me in every day life and will affect my whole life.
I believe that chapter was significant in its entirety. The reimbursement of previous knowledge was an important base needed to provide the ability to further my understanding. I felt the most confident and improved after the word problem section. It helped me to just take a sentence at a time and not become overwhelmed at the length and just solve one step at a time. I feel much better going into these new chapters with my memory refreshed.
I believe that this chapter helped me by reviewing what I had learned and previous math classes. I also think the word problems helped because we use them in everyday life all the time, and I was bad at them in the beginning of the chapter.
I believe that the homework that we did in the first chapter is the most beneficial because I can practice them and review my algebra 2 skills and get ready for pre-cal.
